I wrote an essay for Insider and the draft came back to me entirely rewritten by the editors and with an entirely different conclusion. Part of me wants to just let them publish it anyway so I get the money and the byline but the other part of me wants to cry at the thought of this going out in the world with my name on it. 😩 Do I pull it???? Is it just not worth writing for outlets anymore???
