I agree. So let the states be the primary taxing authority instead of the fed.

Right now 65-70% of total U.S. tax burden is going to the federal government. Only 30-35% goes to the states. It should be the reverse.

Let the states collect the bulk of our tax dollars. Let them use the money to run their own social programs. Then the fed can use their much smaller budget for nothing but the military.
