I agree with Greg Miller. States are trying to give data centers a tax exemption, but local governments don’t have to. Cities should let the data centers in, but choose on what terms, and how they can use the tax revenue for the benefit of local citizens.

Data centers should be developed. Communities should welcome them. Local governments should negotiate much harder to make sure residents benefit.
