It's hard to think of an action more damaging to American greatness, or insulting to American freedom, than cutting off cancer research to punish a university for failing to align politically with the current government.

HUGE FLIP: Democrat John Ewing Jr. just turned Omaha blue—defeating the longest-serving GOP mayor in the country and becoming the city’s first Black mayor in history.

Sometimes I fantasize about disappearing.

Not dying.

Just logging off.

Getting a job no one cares about.

Growing tomatoes.

Writing poems in the margins of a notebook no one reads.

Not as a failure.

But as a kind of freedom.

We love you, Joe and Jill! ❤️

Stay strong.

Why do people keep saying that novelists “predicted” the future?

  • “Jules Verne predicted the Submarine”

  • “Edward Bellamy predicted credit cards”

  • “E.M. Forster predicted the internet”

  • “Arthur C Clarke predicted smart devices”

  • “Ray Bradbury predicted voice recognition”

Novelists didn’t predict these technologies, they dreamed them up.

Technologists only built them because novelists had already come up with the vision for them.
