First writing submission for October completed 💪 300 words of creative non-fiction about something that happened in a specific year (1912) for Mslexia magazine.

I wrote about my paternal great-grandfathers, who in that year were both colliery sinkers in south east Kent. It feels like a good warm up for Lindsay Johnstone’s upcoming Writing from the Archives group programme, and has me sparking with ideas about a potential new series for my Substack.
