We are deeply in need of community: connection with the people and place around us.

Some of us are aware of this acutely.

Other feel the symptoms, but haven’t named the root cause.

Forming community can take time, “moving at the speed of trust” as emergent strategist adrienne maree brown would.

Other times, the trust builds quickly, moving at the speed of natural disaster, attack on freedom, or threat to one’s sovereignty.

We know how to bond together.

We just need a reason WHY.

Perhaps this makes the most important investment of our time into each other.

Investing in getting to know: what is our shared why?

Seeing through this how we share the same human needs for healthy air, water, soil. But also for belonging and spaces for collective celebration, grief; to share in the meaning making; to identify and act from a place of personal fulfillment that contributes to the greater whole.

This is what I believe in, this is what I’m facilitating.
