Between Anthropic hiring a video director for $250k, and the Wall Street Journal announcing this week that their video team is now 65 (!!) people, I think it's a really good time for young people to learn how to shoot and edit video. I’ve always considered the Adobe Creative Suite, photography, and shooting video to be foundational skills for any creative-adjacent job after 2010. It’s never too late to teach yourself these skills.

It’s noteworthy that both tech companies and legacy news companies are investing in GOOD video teams.
