When asked to host a Substack workshop for Women’s Prize Live I hesitated at first (I don’t tend to do workshops of this kind, especially not “how-tos” about this platform). But then I thought “how can I bring people value?” and I immediately thought of pitching a conversation with one of my favourite writers Jess Pan who writes my favourite Substack newsletter. We are different, Jess & I, she writes mostly long-form essays (monthly, or quarterly) to loyal readers. I write weekly & include roundups as well as shorter pieces.
