This is the last thing I’m going to say about AI detection because I am so fed up with it.

I went through all 200+ comments on my article and most people said some version of: “Thank you for writing this. This is how I use AI too. It’s so much fun. It helps me create. It helps me express things I haven’t been able to get out any other way.”

The comments were full of people who had found something that helped them make things, enjoy writing, and say what they actually meant.

And to the people who looked at all of that and thought, yes, what everyone’s writing really needs is an arbitrary grade next to it, I want to say:

Go get yourself a hobby.
