Howz this album turning 40 this year? This was the first one I purchased by them and it is maybe my favorite. I may be alone in that. But that opening troika of toonz just delivers giddy highs. The grit of Missionary Man, which inverts Son of a Preacher Man. Thorn in My Side, which whoa, whoa, whoa! And When Tomorrow Comes? Yup that too. But then, The Last Time just astonishes with that pulsing melancholy. And then I stop thinking faves and just listen with delight. They still made great songs after this, but never put so many in the same place.
