This one has a special place in my heart for helping me navigate a difficult time. That seems to be a constant in my life. An album either lifts me out of the mire or reignites my love for music in a moment where I think i cannot enjoy anything. Nobody’s Empire was a lifeline. Lyrics in it were applicable to my life, even if the narrative wasn’t. And so, the album became one of heavy rotation as a result. A way to leave a vision of hell to the dying or just there. And dance like i was in peacetime.
