The app for independent voices

Ways I’ve made solo, self-employment WFH life a little less lonely:

  • Weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly catch-ups/coworks with different groups across industries

  • Eating lunch at the table with my husband, notifications on mute

  • Popping outside to stand or lie in the grass with my face to the sky

  • In-person therapy every other week

  • Walking the dog and stopping to make conversation with neighbors

  • Scheduling walks with friends to start or end my work day

  • Talking to myself and narrating out loud what I’m doing

  • Teaching 1x per week at the local YMCA

All of this doesn’t happen consistently, and it takes mental energy to manage the calendar. Some days I wish I had more white space or social interaction.

Fellow WFH friends, what keeps your solo work from home life satisfying and thriving?
