before I toddle off for the day, I have something to say about the privileged white male experience:
only two people on Substack have reached out to ask if my son would like something their child no longer needs.
not something random.
something meaningful, something that told me they were actively paying attention to my words and our experience.
outfits and accessories for Milo, the doll I got little guy to help his OCD with clothing.
a talking robot to help his verbal and social skills.
the details on these gifts materializing will happen in their own time and I'm okay with that because the gift I really needed has already been received; someone saw my son and I, really saw us, and had the guts to say something too.
they were both “privileged white men”.
