If you want a different background for the pull quote, select the paintbrush in the upper right-hand corner before you type your note, and it will look something like this! These show up in your profile feed, and your followers’ newsfeeds according to whatever Substack algorithmic nonsense is running at the moment.

but most importantly, if someone restacks your work with a note, share their restack so it appears in your feed as well, so when people go to your profile page they see what your readers have to say.
