The key to being an expert business analyst is the ability to deconstruct a gnarly situation into sensible elements and then reassemble the pieces into a coherent whole.
I used to be the exact opposite of this.
When asked to analyze a problem I would produce a barrage of charts, numbers and figures then throw the whole thing into the lap of an executive hoping they would make sense of it.
More often than not it left them feeling more confused (and probably wondering why they hired me)
I know better now.
