My Bradbury Year Update…

I find myself with a little time on my hands as I watch my son using his brand new iPad that doesn’t have the case on it cause Amazon hasn’t delivered it yet! YIKES!

I’m prepping as much as one can prep (?) for My Bradbury Year in that I am organizing the Scrivener file I intend on using. I’m also considering using Google Docs as a way to show that it can be done using a “free” software/service. Not 100% sure yet.

But my idea is that I need 3 blank docs for each week:

  1. Review of short story I read each week where I will answer the same questions each week.

  2. Outline doc that will list my ideas, which one I select, and the detailed outline to prep for writing. This will also double as my “Behind-the-Story” post that will likely release before the story.

  3. Short story doc. Vomit draft.

  4. There will be a 4th doc for the editing but that will be after the 52 weeks are done.

The main thing I want to focus on it writing a short story each week and getting inspiration from classic works.

Shedding the load of my daily 100 word stories will definitely help me out.

I’m also having to get up every 5min to get something for my sick wife, so trying to do something that doesn’t require me to remain focused for a long period of time this week is ideal…
