I shared this in chat form, but here it is in notes for those who missed it otherwise.

Having done Lesser Tedium for about three months as of this week, here’s where I’m at with it: I’m probably going to transition away from this exact approach.

It was good to try it as long as I did, and I appreciate everyone subscribing and reading, but this was a test of network effects and I think it didn’t do what I was hoping. Which is fine—experiments are important!

I’m going to run it for another week or two just to be on the safe side. If you feel like this is something I need to continue doing, I encourage replies in the chat offering feedback (if you want to send it privately, shoot me a message at ernie@tedium.co).

I do think I learned something from this experiment and I will take those lessons to future endeavors, which I plan to share with you.

My thought going forward is to integrate the shorter approach of Lesser Tedium and the more in-depth approach of longer Tedium into one newsletter.

As much as I snark about them, I appreciate Substack for giving me a medium where I could test it.

Anyway, if you have thoughts, this is the place! Thanks for reading.
