I talk a lot on how I write 99% of my code at Airbnb with AI. A BI report shows orgs at Meta are setting official targets for engineers to use AI for coding.

At least 3 Meta orgs have figures publicly available:

• 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀: 55% of code changes AI-assisted and 80% of mid-to-senior engineers using AI since Q4 2025.

• 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗟: 50–80% AI-assisted code since Feb 2026.

• 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗴: 65% of engineers writing 75%+ of committed code with AI in H1 2026.

Engineers are avoiding using AI to write code because they don’t think it can write good enough quality for production.
