When I started this newsletter, I named it Sternberg Heads South not just because I was geographically venturing south of the United States. But, I wanted to share what life is like in the less developed, Global South. I enjoy sharing about the history and significance of the incredible places I visit. But I often get the most joy in sharing about what life is like where I visit - how people work, travel within their country, practice their politics, and love their families. Not because it’s better or worse, but because it’s different
