Final update on this, since I’m in great danger of boring both of us:

• 1,150 new free subs

• 48 new paid subs (assisted with a flash yearly discount running out tonight)

• Threads following grew by 1,200

• Bluesky following grew by 7,400 (!!)

• On Bluesky, the lead author of the science paper featured in my story reshared it - bsky.app/profile/ksvene… - which is my favourite bit of all this, because right now science is under attack in the U.S. and this is a story about the power of international scientific collaboration AND the reality of climate change, and both those things need all the publicity in the world, and if I can be a useful idiot to the people doing the actual work out there, bingo.
