Final update on this, since I’m in great danger of boring both of us:

1,150 new free subs
48 new paid subs (assisted with a flash yearly discount running out tonight)
Threads following grew by 1,200
Bluesky following grew by 7,400 (!!)
On Bluesky, the lead author of the science paper featured in my story reshared it - bsky.app/profile/ksvene… - which is my favourite bit of all this, because right now science is under attack in the U.S. and this is a story about the power of international scientific collaboration AND the reality of climate change, and both those things need all the publicity in the world, and if I can be a useful idiot to the people doing the actual work out there, bingo.
I’ll be spending the next few days catching up with replies and trying to reassemble my brain.
Back in 2022, I got very lucky on Twitter (RIP Twitter) with a viral thread of one of my newsletter’s stories that totally blew up, reached millions of people and gave me thousands of newsletter signups. Absolutely unrepeatable thing.
