Obviously this is a prototype, and vast technical challenges remain for scaling it up affordably, and so on.

But - ye gawds. Imagine a near-future in which all the world's plastic waste is being converted to clean, green fuel, instead of mostly ending up in landfills?

A few decades of rapid technical progress here, and plastic garbage can become the new coal or oil - and landfills become the new coal mines or oil wells?

BRING IT ON.
