Power tumbles when it begins to act like it earned its status.

Reality 1 - Purchasing power doesn’t buy loyalty, and if it does, it requires continual buy-ins each time someone in the bribe chain dies.

Reality 2 - Purchased power or leverage requires constant evaluation. Once the buy-in has been spent below 50%, it loses leverage anytime it is checked.

Reality 3 - Any society in which power and status can be purchased, the 98% isn’t part of the buy-in weight because the level of wealth participation doesn’t see the middle class or the poor. It assumes they have no value. And this always leads to an explosion. The kind that gets a name in history books.
