Here’s a little writing exercise for you! I wrote a poem that mirrors Kate Baer’s poem, “Late May.” Give this a try if you’re in a writing rut.

Pick up a collection of poems. Find one that jumps off the page for you, illuminating a feeling that you’ve struggled to put into words. Now write a poem that mirrors the rhythm, theme, structure, or feeling.
