Event Description:

American Public Square and Church of the Resurrection present a timely, plain-spoken conversation about staying connected when our beliefs collide.ย

Rev. Adam Hamilton moderates a candid dialogue with a couple with different beliefs who have grown togetherโ€” psychotherapist and author Dr. Jeanne Safer and her husband, historian and writer Richard Brookhiser.ย

Drawing from Saferโ€™s book, ๐™„ ๐™‡๐™ค๐™ซ๐™š ๐™”๐™ค๐™ช, ๐˜ฝ๐™ช๐™ฉ ๐™„ ๐™ƒ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™š ๐™”๐™ค๐™ช๐™ง ๐™‹๐™ค๐™ก๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™˜๐™จ, the program looks beyond romantic partnerships to the full spectrum of relationships: family, friends, coworkers, and community.ย

Together, theyโ€™ll explore how to stay curious instead of combative, how to navigate political disagreements without detonating trust, and what it takes to preserve the relationships we canโ€™t afford to lose.
