Many years ago I travelled to the beautifully named McLeod Ganj near Dharamsala, in Himachal Pradesh Northern India. This once remote Indian hill station, whose name evokes a sense of Victorian Scottish, mixed with Hindi vernacular, is now the headquarters of the exiled 14th Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Buddhist community.
