I wore my lucky corduroys & trademark Costco socks last night to read my debut fiction piece for The Metropolitan Review review. YOU CAN NOT BEAT Costco socks, but corduroys are risky biz - sometimes too hot, sometimes the crotch wears down too fast — beware, cords are not jeans, not khakis, and certainly not cotton sweats. but when you find a good pair, the comfort and insulation is well worth the crotch re-patching. BUT, be on guard for thieves in the NYC clothes altering business…twenty bucks and no more for a crotch touch up, unless of course its performed by your wife.
