While these concepts are incredibly helpful when it comes to foundational knowledge and skills, when do we get to have the conversation about how human development is so much more than foundational knowledge and skills? When can we talk about the learning conditions that cultivate empathy, nuanced thinking, collaboration, conflict resolution, partnership versus domination, authenticity, purpose, etc.? (I don’t mean this as a criticism of your post. I am genuinely confused by how educators focus on these concepts as if they are 100% of the pie chart of what matters for humans. I would put the percentage much, much lower.)
