I'm likely to leave the Zone 6 work and shift towards more specific Zone 3 & 4 efforts.
In April, I'll finish off this block and race St A's at the end of the month.
Then a two-week mini-off season. That's a precautionary move to make sure I don't go stale in the early summer and to clear chronic fatigue.
Mid-May to end of June will be an Endurance & Strength Block. It starts with a long training camp in Italy and ends with Epic Camp, Dolomites. Intensity in that block will be mainly Tempo/Zone 3. The key will be patience with the intensity, as I don't want to peak in mid-July.
Awesome, awesome, awesome article. This is such a well described way to appropriately add on SIT. Thanks as always Gordo. I look forward to following how you “maintain” some of this pep closer to your goal race.
