Back in my happy place (the library- it closes and opens because of the war). Times like this I really wish that I was further in my French learning journey to access primary sources. But growing up in the UK I wanted to use that energy to improve my Arabic and Darija (Algerian Arabic- all I knew at age 14 was hi how are you I’m fine- that’s when I committed to trying to learn darija)… You know what- just writing this out made me realise that I made the correct decision. Without darija and improved Arabic my research efforts would be even more compromised. 🥰Alhamdulillah I’m proud of 14 year old me.
