I have imagined a lot of lives.

Growing up in Minnesota, the kind of place that feels like the touring scenes in Almost Famous. Van life along the Pacific coast, drinking tea on the back of a tailgate with the doors open to the ocean. A forest cabin in British Columbia — moss, cedar trees, rain that falls for days.

A community in the jungle. A crumbling stone castle in Scotland where the wind is always howling and the tea is always hot. Going completely off grid and growing food with my hands.

I'm still deciding which parts of these lives are fantasies and which are instructions.
