I realized this over a year ago. Chrome offers a platform for delivering software to over 3.62 billion users, and the friction is reasonably low compared to other methods.
Some limitations my customers have complained about include the need to keep the browser running for scheduled notes to post.
I'm currently working on a macOS app, and I spent 3 weeks getting the packaging, signing, and Apple notarization process working correctly.
