"No KYC" site UnCash abruptly shuts down following my reporting, calls Mastercard’s action a "corporate guillotine".
Following Sunday's reporting in Fintech Business Weekly on so-called "No KYC" crypto cards, one of the sites profiled, UnCash, has abruptly shutdown.
A notice posted on the service's site (image below) states in part: "It's Over. Thanks, Mastercard. We regret to inform you that Mastercard — in all their infinite wisdom — has decided that our card issuers need to be shut down. Immediately. No discussion. No appeal. Just a clean, corporate guillotine.Given that 90% of our cards ran on the Mastercard network, this isn't a minor inconvenience — it's a death sentence. And frankly, we're done pretending we can fight Goliath with a slingshot made of good intentions."
UnCash's statement indicates all card have been terminated and users will be able to withdraw remaining balances to external crypto wallets.
Per reviews of UnCash's offering in October 2025 and again last week, the service has used BINs/cards associated with: Sutton Bank, Column, Nium, Sunrate, and Rain.
