It has occurred to me that there is a lot of room for misunderstanding here. While I am considering aspects of my role as a creative, and the tools I use, I am not imposing anything on others. I am sorting out what makes me tick.
AI as a reality is fascinating both in its potential and in its liabilities. I also write science fiction. I have a story, Terminal Quest, that is set in an AI world, where I explore aspects of it. There is even a central character who is functionally AI. I am open to AI topics in stories and discussions.
My dad was a computer scientist in the 1950s-1970s (and beyond) working at NASA and Yale University. I grew up hearing debates about the theory and viability of AI. Perfect science fiction fodder.
What I haven't heard as much about is the ethics of its use for creatives. That is what I am exploring now. No judgments on others. That is not my style. Just considering what path I personally want to walk.
I will move on to something new tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.
