Students generally understand that outsourcing thinking to AI is bad for learning. They mostly associate AI with slop, misinformation, and cheating. It’s the adults who are hard to convince, where you hear, “but AI is the future…” Maybe AI is the future! I have a practical question: whether to let students use AI to learn right now. My answer is a firm no.
