Since I switched to paper sub plans I get lots of nice notes from subs who appreciate how straightforward they are.

I used to post stuff on Google Classroom - some DeltaMath practice, a Desmos activity, etc. But some students would forget their Chromebook, or say their Chromebook doesn’t work, or say they can’t find the assignment, and the sub often doesn’t know how to help. These were easy to write but were a pain for subs and some students wouldn’t do much.

Now I leave a packet of straightforward math practice. Not the most ambitious sub plans but the subs consistently say they appreciate the simplicity, and that students know what to do and get right to work.
