54GW of new electricity capacity was added to the grid in the United States last year, and 96% of it was clean. This is just so encouraging. Despite the Trump administration’s best efforts, for every new unit of fossil gas, more than a unit of coal was switched off, and a whopping 24 units of clean energy was built.
Solar was again the star of the show, and check out battery storage! Five years ago it was a rounding error, now it's a quarter of the total.
