You probably only need to worry about suturing deep layers. For the surface, you can use the new zipper-style stick-on 'sutures,' and for smaller or more superficial lacerations you can use the Special Forces-developed SuperGlue method. There's now special super glue for laceration repair, though they pioneered it with the original one.
