Make money doing the work you believe in

It has been 3 years since my "Stillness" composition was conceived. I originally sketched it for my oneichan's commission painting. I loved it so much that I decided to make it into a series. When I think of my time spent in Japan with my dearest Misato and upon first meeting 7 years ago, I think of "stillness." Just peaceful, tranquil and utterly beautiful.

Here is "Stillness" in Misato's beautiful space in the Japan countryside mountains throughout the seasons. This Spring, her wisteria bonsai bloomed 💜 Did you know wisteria blooms only last for a week, but the plant itself can live for decades? To wait to see her bloom once a year is the type of romance that pulls my heartstrings.

I can't wait to visit you soon again.

Stillness, 2023. Oil on linen, 30 × 40 inch. Private collection, Japan #FongMinLiao
