I was on Substack and felt something was missing from the platform, and rather than complaining about it, I decided to build it.
It took me forever (because I’m a writer, not a coder—shoutout to AI for the assist), but I was passionate about improving my experience on Substack. I had a feeling others might feel the same, so I gave it a go.
Introducing the Substack Shelf:
It lets you enter the URL of any Substack you like, pulls some of the more popular posts, and turns them into an eBook. That way, you can take your time reading a writer’s work, get a real feel for their voice, and hopefully subscribe. (The video explains everything alot better).
P.s It’s in Beta, I’m still working on it, so have patience with loading speeds and varying results.
I genuinely think this could be a great feature to integrate into the platform.
So yo, Hamish McKenzie holler at me, and let’s innovate.
Writers, try it out and lemme know your thoughts.
