I want to learn a game I can play with people who do not play video games. I like that chess is about bluffing at the lowest levels of play and mind games at the highest. I like that there are things for me to memorize. I like that it’s flirtatious in the purest sense; learning how another person moves and responding to gestures in an escalating series of provocations.
