We now have an identifiable form of Christianity in America where a UFC fighter can praise Jesus Christ from the ring, then two sentences later tell a racist lie about a highly respected first lady, and laughter and cheers are heard in the crowd. There was a day when the country would have talked about this for weeks. It will be a one day news cycle, and while some of us are horrified, no one is actually surprised that there is a cruel, vulgar brand of faith among us. Lord, have mercy.
