Strange for this passage specifically to attract this accusation - not just because I wrote all of the piece myself, and not just because the larger piece is so weird, and not just because I was expressing some version of this take on Coates at least fifteen years ago, but also because it seems like a very out of character thing for ChatGPT to come up with. I wonder if it's literally just “Translates grief into geometry,” which looking back on is guilty of imprecision if nothing else. I think I just ran out of metaphors in the piece.
