It truly hurts me to say this, but Elon, and his pet, Donnie, are right. Donnie was the most conspicuous and idiotic jerk in the world in 2016. And he got himself elected president of this country. That was when he gave us every possible indication that he was an inveterate liar, an idiot, and 100% self-focused. Once he spent four years proving it, he got more votes in '20 than he did in '16. He didn't win, because Biden got enough more. But he won again, with even more votes, in '24. Brian Cohen likes to say that Republicans have no greater disdain than they do for their own base, and he's right. But their base don't ever seem to get it.

Look at your "He thinks he can call us parasites" paragraph, and the end of the one before. He's right. Everyone who receives left wing e-mails is being deluged for money, because of Elon's "money bomb" in Wisconsin. Because everyone knows Elons money bombs work. The public are that stupid.

Look at your "When you fire tens of thousands" paragraph. The VA isn't getting those people back. They'll have found something else, and they won't trust government not to throw them under a bus. Elon is right. And in your next paragraph, when you say "Elon doesn't understand us," yes, he does. WE don't understand us. We don't realize, and can't admit, how weak and malleable we are. How susceptible we are to people like Elon, Donnie, Cheney/W, Reagan. We'll believe the stupidest and most outrageous shit in the world, because someone authoritatively tells it to us. In every primary, there are 1%ers who drop out, because they get no traction with the public. How do you explain why Donnie wasn't one of them? And he proved incontrovertibly that the worst things anyone could possibly have said about him were true. He told us they were true: he could walk down 5th Ave in NYC, shoot someone dead, and not lose support. He knows us. Elon knows us. We're the ones who don't know us.
