Now do you see the foolishness of making capitalism your truest religion & believing the largely unregulated profit motive of the market would retain any cultural values besides greed and selfishness? Of course this society shrugs at hunger, poverty, illness and death; ties health care to employment; sneers at the desperate to “get a job” & excuses obscene inequality and exploitation as “just business.” Money is your God. Unchecked greed & power has spawned demons. You’ve built your own hell.

Now the world watches the mask pulled away and the flames rage. And the excluded and marginalized among us—the communities long barred from from fully assimilating and left to develop a counterculture within—thank God for small favors.

It is true we were never meant to survive. But it is also fact that our survival is destined. We have and we will. From the ashes and into Freedom.
