I agree with Amanda. Obvs I don’t agree with Piker. But we have to stop purity testing our candidates. Every time we do that we LOSE. We do not have to be in love with our candidates. They have to stand for the values we hold, enough that we trust them with their office. We do not need to agree on every single issue. As I told a friend yesterday, I need people I support to think every human is human. I also need them to be operating in good faith. It’s not too much to ask.
