I was lucky enough to visit Florence last year and see Michael Angelo’s David, Botticelli’s Primavera and the duomo, although only from the outside sadly—the queue was several hours long… And it was only really in the months before my trip that I discovered how Florence was at the epicentre of the Renaissance.
