Paris does not always need to impress you with monuments.

Sometimes, all it takes is the Seine.

A bridge. A little light on the water. The rooftops of Île de la Cité in the distance. And suddenly, there it is again: that feeling that Paris can be impossibly beautiful when it is doing almost nothing at all.

This view from the Pont des Arts is one of those reminders.
