🚀 High-resolution satellite imagery has been released of what appears to be the first publicly known Flamingo strike.
The imagery shows one hit, leaving a predictably large crater consistent with Flamingo's payload capacity, and one clear miss.
If we assume three missiles were launched, as shown in a video linked to the strike, one missile did not reach the target area, either because it failed midair or was intercepted.
Overall, that makes one out of three. That is not bad, considering the missile system is likely still maturing.I also assume the target was chosen mainly for testing purposes and possibly because it was less heavily defended, serving in part as a proof of concept for the missile.
Still, it is important to keep in mind that these are no longer $50k long-range drones being launched. The strike package used here likely cost up to $3 million, which makes it all the more important to ensure that future volleys count.
