A mouse was once afraid of a cat, so a saint turned it into a cat. Then it feared a dog - so he turned it into a dog. Then it feared a lion.
Finally, the saint said, “This is not the solution,” and turned it back into a mouse.
“What you need is not a change of form, but a change of heart.”
Most of us live the same way. We change jobs, places, circumstances and people - hoping our anxiety or inner unrest will finally disappear.
But we carry the same mind into every new life. And so the fear doesn’t end - it simply finds a new shape to live in.
The problem is not your form, or your surroundings - it is your mind.
