Tonight I was at my daughter’s troop meeting, where we also had a parent meeting simultaneously.
It was fascinating to watch all the different adults with their executive functioning skills strengths and weaknesses on display, and see all these adults work together using their unique gifts and strengths.
It’s something not obvious, and something a lot of kids don’t get to observe. Too often adults “hide” their weaknesses from kids and solve problems “behind the scenes”.
Many don’t realize how much kids benefit from seeing that on full display, explained explicitly and modeling mistakes!
